The Malawian television series "Mushroom Shade" has been adapted into a full movie and will premiere on April 25 at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe, according to Nation Online. Producer Chaz told the publication that fans of the series requested a complete film so they could watch the entire story at once instead of waiting for weekly television episodes.

The movie features a cast that includes Cynthia Zonde Zulu, Bucci Mwale, Amos Msekandiana, Kondwani Kamiyala, Onesimus, Fortunata Mkawa, and Mwai Simbota, Nation Online reports. South African digital content creator Victor Ivyic has also joined the project and will attend the premiere in Malawi. During the event, the film's producers will present a Lifetime Legend Award to the late Malawian theatre director Du Chisiza Jnr, according to Nation Online.
