The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme and Standard Bank, has officially unveiled plans for the 2026 Malawi Creative Economy and Investment Forum. Scheduled for November 25 to 27 at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe, the forum will gather creative entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers to help local talent build sustainable businesses and stimulate economic growth, according to government and UNDP announcements.

In an update to Theresa Phondo's upcoming international concert on October 31 at the BICC Amphitheatre, Malawi Airlines has stepped in as a sponsor. According to Nyasa Times, the airline is providing seven free tickets for artists and guests travelling on its Entebbe and Lusaka routes. Meanwhile, Amapiano star Zeze Kingston is using his musical influence for social advocacy. Malawi24 reports that the artist has been named an ambassador for a Banja La Mtsogolo campaign encouraging safer sexual choices and condom use among young people.

In other local arts news, the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) Choir is staging a fundraising concert today at the Odel Auditorium in Blantyre. Nyasa Times reports that the choir organised the performance to raise money for new musical instruments and to increase its public profile for future private and public event bookings.
